It is a trip of a lifetime dedicated to encouraging People of African origin to learn more of their African Heritage. I am looking forward to receive your registration, application, and initial payment for this trip, so that we can initiate concrete travel plans on your behalf.
Ghana is well known for the wealth of history it has for black history and the preservation of historic structures and events that help blacks to trace and or appreciate their heritage and roots. Ghana has rich cultures: languages, dress forms, festivals, and many more that is easily noticeable on arrival. It has been the stage for movies, books, and expeditions that is to be desired. This tour will take you to just about all places of interest that would let you experience these attributes. You will need your walking shoes and camera, you can not afford to leave these beautiful priceless memories behind. Your registration and payment covers every expense from the departure airport to Ghana and back to the departure airport.
EcoCultural Tour Group of Ghana was formed as an organization to encourage individuals to learn more of Ghana and Africa. Unlike typical tours, EcoCultural allows you to enjoy the people and their culture; we will house you in the community so as to be able to interact with the community. There are programs of economic development that you could participate if you so choose. For professionals, they would have the opportunity to participate in career enrichment while on this tour. You would meet Ghanaians who have devoted their time to make your visit enjoyable, educative, and memorable.
Various groups participating in this tour have contributed immensely to the adopted village of Perpertifi in building a Playground and a Library for the children. Further goals are in place to furnish the library with books, furniture and computers. Also efforts are being made by Pastor Newton King and Pastor Sednack Yankson to provide better drinking water for this village. We hope your participation and presence in this 2008 tour will help us reach these goals.

I understand that while I am on the premises assigned, I am an observer and can not practice using my American license. The tour group will drop off participants in the morning (9:00 AM) and pick up will be at the end of the work day (5:00 PM). Where shift work is concern, pick up will be at the end of the shift. Travel Date Changes:
Due to the airline schedule changes during the summer months, it is possible that our travel dates could change to + or – (plus or minus) one day. You would be notified ahead of time should this happen. Please factor this into your vacation days.
Professional Enrichment:
If you are a professional and would like to see how your peers in Ghana practice or perform, you will get the opportunity to do so. You may be able to spend one day to observe your profession. Doctors and Nurses would be sent to the Korle-bu teaching hospital, Lawyers would go to the Ghana High Court, and Teachers will go to Hansen Road S.D.A Preparatory School or Valley View University. Please send in a written request or fill in the professional enrichment form for this program to be arranged ahead of time. This is a free service.
Children:
Those traveling with children must first check from their family physician before traveling with them on this trip. We recommend that a child must be Six years or older and their vaccination should be up to date before going on this trip. There is no discount for children since this tour is already discounted to encourage people to know more about Ghana and Black Heritage.
Refund Policy:
Registration fee and commitment fee is non refundable at anytime. Part or all of the rest of the payments made may be refunded if a request is received before tickets are purchased. Tickets would be purchased in February 2008. All cancellations requests should be received in writing before January 30, 2008, after this date there would be no refund of any part of payments made. Refund request should be sent to 3360 Nokomis Road, Lancaster, TX 75146. Do not send refund request to your local or area coordinator.
Rate Change Policy:
The total rate of this 2008 tour is $ 2,954.00 however, due to changes in cost of fuel, this rate may change when one or more of these economic factors occurs:

TIMELINES
Inoculation:
HEPATITIS: Begin and complete your hepatitis series one month before departure. Consult with your family doctor.
YELLOW FEVER: Get your yellow fever inoculation by May 30, 2008. This vaccination is good for two years.
MALERIA: Contact your family doctor for a malaria prescription by July 1, 2008. These tablets are to be taken, beginning a week before the trip and it continues up to a week after arrival back in the states.
